Vicki Metzis is a postdoctoral scientist interested in developmental biology and tissue engineering. She obtained her PhD from the University of Queensland, Brisbane, working in Carol Wicking’s lab at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience. Vicki has a background in hedgehog signalling, mouse developmental genetics and explant culture. In 2014, she joined the Briscoe lab to develop systems biology approaches to study neural cell fate decisions. Her work involves the use of stem cells, high throughput sequencing technologies and computational approaches to examine how spinal cord progenitors are established during development.
